Socify – Full-Stack Social Media Platform

A modern Instagram-inspired social media platform with posts, reels, real-time notifications, and infinite scrolling.

Overview

Built a full-stack social media application using Next.js and PostgreSQL with Prisma ORM. Users can create posts and reels, follow other users, like and comment on content, and receive real-time notifications. Implemented infinite scrolling for reels, optimized database queries for feed generation, and designed a responsive UI with dark/light mode support.

Key Achievements

Implemented authentication and user management using Clerk with protected routes.

Designed relational database schema using Prisma for users, posts, comments, followers, and notifications.

Built real-time notifications for likes, comments, and follows.

Implemented infinite scrolling reels with optimized pagination queries.

Developed fully responsive UI with dark/light mode support.
