Overview

SecondBrain is a personal organization system built with TypeScript and the MERN stack. It allows users to aggregate disparate digital content—such as YouTube videos, Twitter threads, and documents—into a single, searchable dashboard. The platform features a robust 'Brain Sharing' mechanism where users can generate a unique, cryptographically secure link to share their curated knowledge base with others, with the ability to toggle public access instantly.

Key Achievements

Built a secure content-sharing system allowing users to generate and revoke unique public access links for their 'brain'.

Implemented a dynamic sidebar filtering system to instantly categorize content by type (Video, Tweet, Link, Document).

Developed a TypeScript-first backend with Zod schema validation to ensure end-to-end type safety.

Integrated React Query for efficient server-state management and optimized data fetching of shared content.

Designed a clean, minimalist UI using Tailwind CSS focused on reducing cognitive load for information management.

Managed complex relational logic between users, tags, and content types using Mongoose and MongoDB.
